19TH MAR 2026: WORK: FROM "Of" to "For" THE SHIFT THAT GAVE MY LIFE PURPOSE
In 2006, I watched a movie that quietly planted a seed in me - The Pursuit of Happyness.
At that time, I didn’t question the title.
Like most of us, I absorbed its message as it was—
that life is about chasing happiness, earning it, reaching it - someday.
For years, I lived in that framework.
Study. Work. Build. Achieve.
Always moving toward something called “happiness”— as if it existed somewhere ahead of me.
Then 2015 happened. I lost someone dear. And in that moment of pause in my life, the illusion of “someday” broke.
It forced a question I had never truly asked before:
What am I really living for?...more...
10TH DEC 2025: VIEWS: FROM REIMAGINING HOW PURPOSE-LED BRANDS CAN PATIENTLY SCALE WHILE MAKING IMPACT
Listening to a panel discussion on sustainable fashion curated by Kamna Hazrati at AndPurpose Event, I was struck by the honesty around what it truly takes for purpose-led brands to scale in India. The conversation had intent, humility, and a shared urgency to strengthen concious consumption.
A recurring theme: our behaviour has been shaped by hyper-consumerism. Fast fashion, impulse buying, and the expectation of constant newness make it hard for purpose-led brands to compete on attention, pricing and speed.
In a post-panel conversation with Shreya Ghodawat, we reflected on how this conditioning often makes consumers unintentionally counter-productive, wanting sustainability while expecting fast delivery and nonstop novelty - contradictions that challenge the survival of impact first brands...more...
30TH MAR 2025: WORK: OUR APPOINTMENT WITH NATURE!
Nature, in its boundless generosity, welcomed us once again. We embarked on two thrilling safaris through the dense and diverse landscapes of Pench Tiger Reserve through Khursapur Gate, each moment filled with awe and excitement.
Incredible Wildlife Encounters:
We witnessed an array of magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. A family of ten Indian Gaurs feasting peacefully, three fully grown male sambars playfully engaging, and a protective mother guarding her sambar family. The regal blue bull, agile wild dogs, Hanuman langurs, and an abundance of spotted deer made for mesmerizing sightings.
Birdwatcher’s Paradise:
The jungle came alive with the calls of exotic birds—Kingfisher, White-Eyed Buzzard, Greater racket tail Drongo, Blue Roller, Spot-Billed Duck, and a majestic eagle pair. A special highlight was the nocturnal birds, especially owls, expertly camouflaged within hollowed-out dry trees...more...
15th AUG 2022: VIEWS: PRACTICING SUSTAINABLE LIVING
It was important for me to practice what I preach as sustainable mobility consultant. So, made few lifestyle choices with the new life while living on the outskirts of a mega city in the United Kingdom. Choice of sustainable living.
#First choice, not buying a car.
#Second choice, walking for daily chores & building support system for it.
#Third choice, multimodal public transport for official and personal intra-city, inter-city travel.
How it helped me? It helped me,
Train my kids about sustainable living.
Save fuel and contribute to lesser carbon footprint.
Reduce my weight. Made me healthier.
Get fitter to play club level cricket at this age.
Save my Gymnasium cost and time.
Fund my annual vacation this year.
Look for sustainable vacation options which are convenient too.
Few may debate public transport is better in United Kingdom city compared to Mumbai where I lived earlier. Still, I believe it can be adopted in Mumbai too. Well, I will give it a try when in Mumbai.
06TH JAN 2021: WORK: DISCOVER YOUR PASSION, PURSUE YOUR PASSION
It was teens, I discovered my first passion, game of cricket.
I kept excelling every day as I practiced and played. I was harnessing my skills well and enjoying it. Soon got selected for my University Team and captained it for three years. Without a proper mentor or sponsor, best I could do was to get selected in last twenty-five of U-19 Mumbai cricket team. To earn bread and butter, soon I paused my passion for professional cricket and took up a full time job as SAP/ERP consultant.
At age 27, when I was pursuing my self-funded MBA, I discovered entrepreneurship gives me equal kick as the game of cricket - my second passion. The idea kept growing on me and I realised I didn’t enjoy doing a job. With no capital to start my own business, I tried my luck with a company who could keep my passion alive. I founded two new company’s for them as non-promoter Director. At age 35, the passion became my dream!
As the life priorities in personal life pushed me in different direction, taking a plunge to become an Entrepreneur (Promoter Founder) could not happen. And then during pandemic situation I found the bottom (lowest possible economic situation) & my feet touched the launching pad I was aiming at.
And it happened!
I started my own consulting company at age 40 & started nurturing my professional relationships (developed over last 20 years) in STHAAR Consulting. As soon as I followed my dream, driven by my passion, my gratitude quotient jumped back to the childhood days. I have more time to listen and pay attention to what really matters.
With control over my own time, I joined two cricket clubs in Mumbai and started playing quality cricket again. I started noticing the life around me in much deeper sense and it is indeed more beautiful! I am travelling for work only when it’s needed and spending quality time with my family.
Now as I am more connected/closer to what I really love, I am discovering myself more. I am enjoying the work I do;
I am enjoying being an entrepreneur and a cricketer!
